Seminar cancellation and refund policy

Cancellations may be made up to 30 days prior to the first day of the seminar for a full refund. Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the first day of the seminar are subject to a $300 cancellation charge. Confirmed registrants who fail to attend must pay the entire fee.

PRIVACY POLICY

This, the Privacy Statement of KBC Advanced Technologies Ltd ("KBC"), discloses the information privacy practices for KBC's website ("KBC Site"). Last updated 7 February 2011.

Information collection and use
KBC collects Personally Identifiable Information ("PII") about you that you specifically and voluntarily provide. PII includes information that can identify you as a specific individual, such as your name, phone number, or email address. Although you are required to register as a member of the KBC Site in order to use certain areas and some PII is needed in order to process and fulfil requests, many areas of the KBC Site can be accessed without providing any PII.

KBC collects PII when you:
  • register to use the technical services, software support or discussion areas;
  • log on to the technical services and software support areas or a client extranet;
  • participate in a surveyor similar event;
  • contact KBC; and
  • subscribe to newsletters and technical articles.

On all KBC Site pages that collect PII KBC specifically describes what information is required in order to provide you with the information, product or service you have requested. KBC is the sole owner of the information collected on the KBC Site. KBC will not sell, share or rent this information to anyone else in ways other than as disclosed in this statement. KBC collects information from KBC Site users at several different points:

Registration
You must register to use parts of the KBC Site (eg client extranets, technical hotline, software support pages). During registration you are required to give your contact information (such as name and email address). This information is used to control access to certain areas of the KBC Site.

Surveys and similar events
Occasionally KBC may offer members and site visitors an opportunity to participate in a survey or similar event. Information collected by KBC when you participate in a survey or similar event may include your full name, job title, email address, street address and employer.

Contacting KBC
KBC collects PII such as your full name, email address and contact information whenever you submit a question or suggestion, or request assistance.

Newsletters and technical articles
If you wish to subscribe to KBC's newsletter or receive details of technical articles, the KBC Site asks for contact information such as name and email address.

Other information collected by KBC
KBC collects certain technical information from your computer each time you request a page during a visit to the KBC Site. This information is collected from your computer's web browser and may include your IP address, operating system, web browser software (eg Internet Explorer and Firefox), and referrer website. IP addresses are not linked to PII.

Use of your information
Information collected on the KBC Site may be used to:
  • register you to access certain parts of the KBC Site;
  • send email notifications to you;
  • respond to your questions or suggestions;
  • provide you with information you request; and
  • improve the quality of your visit to the KBC Site.

Registration
If your registration request is approved you will receive confirmation, sent to your email address.

Email notifications
If you request information about KBC's products and services, KBC may use your email address to send you communications about surveys, promotions, special offers or other opportunities with KBC and its partners.

Responses to your questions or suggestions
KBC will use your email address or other contact information provided by you to respond when you submit a question or suggestion, or request assistance.

Information you request
If you request KBC publications, newsletters or updates on technical papers, these will be sent to you using your email or postal address.

Improving the quality of your visit to the KBC Site
KBC collects information about your computer (not your name, address, email address or telephone number) for the purpose of assessing the effectiveness of the KBC Site content and traffic. This data allows KBC to improve the quality of your visit by streamlining your ability to navigate the KBC Site and developing featured programs and content that will be of interest to KBC Site's members and visitors.

Sharing
KBC may share aggregated demographic information with its partners. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person. KBC may partner with other parties to provide specific products and services. When you sign up for these products or services KBC may share names or other contact information necessary for the third party to provide these products or services. These parties are not allowed to use PII except for the purpose of providing these products and services.
